Despite former Congress president of Assam likely to join the BJP, the prospects of the party in the state are not very good for the third consecutive term in the state. The central leadership is also not happy with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his controversial video which was later withdrawn. Reportedly, he has been issued stern warning not to make any unnecessary controversy. Attacking 35 per cent Muslims in the state is a double-edged sword even for Himanta.
