Chennai (06.02.2026): The Congress is serious about its alliance in Tamil Nadu with Vijay and may dump its tried partner DMK. This is an attempt to consolidate the Congress in Kerala as well. Vijay is very popular in Kerala and the state has a sizable number of Christian population that the BJP also has the eyes on. To capitalise on his popularity, the Congress may go along with him but it's unclear why the Congress is moving slowly to decide the alliance. The support to Vijay started with a call from Rahul Gandhi to Vijay after the tragic rally episode and release difficulty of the movie, Jan Nayak.
