Detractors may hold ‘Operation Lotus’ responsible for cross-voting in Rajya Sabha elections in Odisha and Haryana but in Bihar, it is apathy of the Congress leadership that may help the NDA to make a clean sweep. The NDA has enough number to win four seats in the state but for fifth seats, it would need three more votes. Six Congress MLAs and one BSP MLA are in the NDA’s radar. Three Congress MLAs are not in contact with Congress leadership as their phones are out of reach. The Congress MLAs in Bihar have long been complaining neglect from the central leadership ever since they got elected.
