IPS officer A Shiyas has been appointed Inspector General in the BSF on central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
New Delhi: IPS officer A Shiyas (IPS:2008:MP) has been appointed Inspector General (IG) in the Border Security Force (BSF).
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday (August 17, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment on usual terms and conditions of central deputation.
Prior to this central deputation, Shiyas was serving as Inspector General, Cyber Police Headquarters, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
