The Dredging Corporation of India Ltd (DCI) Announced that Dr. Madhaiyaan Angamuthu, IAS, has been granted a six-month extension as Chairman (Additional Charge) of Vishakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA). Dr Angamuthu, 2002- batch IAS officer of the Assam- Meghalaya cadre, continues to hold the additional charge of the port authority alongside his leadership role at DCI. The extension ensures continuity in the administration of the one of India's key major ports, which plays a vital role in the administration of one of the major ports, which plays a vital role in enabling Maritime trade on the east coast.
