Mumbai Police Releases Transfer Directives for DCPs Ragasudha, Mohit Garg, Nimit Goyal and Manish Kalwaniya
Mumbai: In a standard administrative reorganisation, the Mumbai Police Commissionerate has announced transfer directives for four Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs). The revisions, formalised through a special notification dated May 17, 2026, were executed under provisions of the Maharashtra Police Act and operational requirements.
The order has received approval from the Commissioner of Police, Greater Mumbai.
Four Senior IPS Officers Reassigned Across Mumbai Zones
The newest transfer roster includes significant reshuffling across several policing zones in Mumbai, affecting Zones 1, 2, 4, 8, and 9. The officers impacted include Ragasudha R., Manish Kalwaniya, Nimit Goyal, and Mohit Kumar Garg.
Zone-wise Transfer Details
Manish Kalwaniya reassigned to Zone 1
Manish Kalwaniya has been transferred from DCP, Zone 8
He will now function as DCP, Zone 1
Ragasudha R. shifted from Zone 4 to Zone 2
Ragasudha R. has been reassigned from DCP, Zone 4
She will now assume charge as DCP, Zone 2
Nimit Goyal appointed as DCP Zone 8
Nimit Goyal, earlier serving in the Special Branch, has been assigned as DCP, Zone 8
Mohit Kumar Garg transferred to Zone 1
Mohit Kumar Garg has been moved from DCP, Zone 2
He will now function as DCP, Zone 1

Ensure seamless transition of responsibilities
