Patna: The Bihar Government has undertaken a significant administrative reshuffle involving the transfer and reallocation of 15 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across major departments, divisions, and governance positions.
The reshuffle features modifications in crucial roles such as education, labour resources, road construction, mines and geology, public health engineering, and the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, with the objective of enhancing governance and boosting administrative effectiveness.
Vinod Singh Gunjiyal Appointed New Education Secretary
Senior IAS officer Vinod Singh Gunjiyal of the 2007 batch, presently serving as Bihar’s Chief Electoral Officer, has been designated as Secretary of the Education Department.
He will additionally oversee the Sports Department.
After this decision, 1995-batch IAS officer B. Rajendra has been freed from extra duties linked to the Education Department, while continuing his assignment in the General Administration Department.
